SCREAM SEASON 2 EPISODE 5 REVIEWS:DAWN OF THE DEAD

‘Scream’ TV Series Season 2 Spoilers: What Happened In Episode 5? Audrey’s Secret Revealed [RECAP]
Lock your doors, Lakewood residents! The new Brandon James killer is on the loose and ready to start adding to the body count.
Last week’s episode of “Scream” ended on a grim note as Jake’s (Tom Maden) decomposing body fell right in front of Brooke (Carlson Young). Episode 5 of the MTV series picks up with Sheriff Acosta (Anthony Ruivivar) putting the school on lockdown, refusing to let parents pick up their kids until after he completes his investigation.
All the kids at George Washington High School are in full panic mode, but the only thing that Emma (Willa Fitzgerald) and Audrey (Bex Taylor-Klaus) can think about is getting to Brooke. They know their friend needs them, and fortunately Ms. Lang (Austin Highsmith) is willing to break the rules to give Brooke a little support. However, Emma doesn’t stay with her friend for long. An officer pulls her aside for questioning.

Scream season 2, episode 5, “Dawn of the Dead,” just finished airing, and we immediately see the fallout of the events of last week.
The school officially goes into lockdown after Jake’s body falls from the banner above Brooke. Sheriff Acosta is interviewing a lot of people, though Emma is much higher on his “request” list than Audrey. Considering her direct connection to the last set of murders, this really isn’t surprising.

[TV Review] “Scream” Episode 2.05: ‘Dawn of the Dead’
For an episode titled “Dawn of the Dead,” there sure wasn’t a lot of death. I said in my review last week that I would riot if an episode titled “Dawn of the Dead” didn’t feature a high body count, and here I am rioting. It’s a cool idea to name episodes of Scream after famous horror movies (in case you hadn’t caught on to season 2’s gimmick by now), but at least make them thematically relevant to the plot of the episode. All of the other episode titles made sense, but unless the title is referring to people finally realizing that Jake is dead, the title “Dawn of the Dead” doesn’t apply here. That being said, it was actually a pretty fun bottle episode of the series that essentially served as a place-setting episode for the rest of the season. That bottle episode I was jonesing for last week was delivered this week, and the results were mostly great.

Scream Season 2 Episode 5 Review: Dawn of the Dead

Lakewood teens sure have a thing for causing trouble.
On Scream Season 2 Episode 5, the school was in lockdown after Jake's body showed up.
All of the stuff with Jake's cell phone just felt like a way for the writers to put a wedge between Kieran and Emma. Sure, it sucked that he had to come clean to Miguel, but that was the only way he would be able to remain in the school.urely Emma would understand this, but since the show is trying to throw in a love triangle between Emma, Kieran and Eli, we should have expected it.  Teen dramas sure have a knack for throwing in all of this unnecessary drama our way, and Scream is starting to test my patience.
