FEED THE BEAST SEASON 1 EPISODE 5 REVIEWS:GIMME A T

It’s time to tab out on Feed The Beast Check, please!

The menu has yet to be finalized at Thirio, but the same can’t be said for Feed The Beast, which keeps serving up the same limited options week after week. If any of these characters are capable of learning from their mistakes, they’ve shown little evidence of it in these first five episodes. Tommy’s a morose wimp, Dion’s an impulsive hothead, and the restaurant is perpetually on the brink of disaster. Reheat and serve. This week’s catastrophe in waiting is the lack of a liquor license. You don’t have to be in the restaurant business to know that such a thing can be nearly impossible to procure under the best of circumstances and certainly not something to leave until the last minute, but this is business as usual for Thirio.

Feed The Beast recap: 'Gimme a T'

While Dion struggles to get by, Tommy deals with Pilar's incompetence and stumbles upon a secret that could destroy him

Remember last week, when Dion constructed an elaborate scheme to get Aidan’s stupid hired chef out of his kitchen — and it somehow worked? And remember how Pilar was stumbling her way through everything? Well, those little bits of contrivance were only the tip of the iceberg, as this week’s episode of Feed The Beast goes all-in on the ridiculousness.

“Gimme a T” gets off to a solid start, as we see Dion feeling at home in his kitchen once again. He’s so excited to be back in control, he’s practically making love to the cookware. Enough licking the whisk, Dion! With the food finally coming together, that means something else has to go off the rails, and sure enough, here’s Pilar right on cue.

Feed the Beast Season 1 Episode 5 Review: Gimme a T

On Feed the Beast Season 1 Episode 5, there are only six days until Thirio is set to open – and no one has bothered to secure a liquor license. However, this is the least of everyone's problems.
In addition to the lack of liquor license – which would deprive Thirio of a substantial source of income via the sale of wine – it is also Rie's birthday for the first time since her death, and everyone is grieving.
Not only that, one character gets a pretty bad leukemia prognosis, while another finds out he's going to be a father. Oh, and there's a severed head in someone's refrigerator. Hope that's not on the menu at Thirio.
