DISNEY NOT INVINCIBLE, WHAT WITH ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS

After Disney's previous run of box office hits, one may be forgiven for thinking that Disney is prone the box office bombs but with their latest release, it seems that is not the case. Disney's run includes Zootopia, The Jungle Book and Captain America:Civil War, and considering Alice through the looking glass predecessor's success, it should have continued the trend. Alice Through the looking glass had its US release on May 27, 2016 and grossed just $34.2m on its Fri-Mon run. That is less than the amount Alice in wonderland earned on its opening day alone.
The movie had very poor critic reviews but the unforeseen stumbling block was Johnny Depp's legal problems. Prior to the release of the movie, his wife Amber Heard filed for divorce and accused him of abuse. The affected the movie for example where parents might not want their kids watching a movie starring him.
One might also say that the kids who enjoyed the first movie are all grown up now and are interested in other kinds of movies. The first movie also came out when 3D was new, expensive and everybody wanted to see it but now people only pay for 3D when it's worth it.
Despite all this, the movie is doing okay internationally(leaving out the US) making $65 million from 80 countries.
Disney's next cinema outings come in the form of Finding Dory and Steven Spielbergs' The BFG which are both expected to do well. Pete's Dragon also comes out in August.

Synopsis: Alice returns to the whimsical world of Wonderland and travels back in time to save the Mad Hatter.
Alice (Mia Wasikowska) first travelled to underland as a child. Now as she approaches adulthood she struggles with balancing the sense of curiosity passed down from her father and conforming to other people's expectations.

Time (Sacha Baron Cohen) is a magical being who sits on a black throne in a castle of eternity. He has one human hand and one mechanical hand and possesses the Chronosphere, a glowing, spinning, metallic sphere inside the chamber of the Grand Clock that powers all time.
Hatter Tarrant Hightopp is better known as the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp). When Alice returns to underland, she finds the Hatter more mad than usual.
Iracebeth, the Red Queen and former monarch of Underland (Helena Bonham Carter) ruled with tyranny, malice and an extremely short temper. She despises her younger sibling, Mirana.
Mirana, the White Queen (Anne Hathaway) is the mild mannered and kind younger sister to the spiteful Red Queen.

GAME OF THRONES BLOOD OF MY BLOOD REVIEW: RETURNS, MENTIONS AND CAMEOS.

This was another fast paced episode of game of thrones with more than enough twists and turns. The episode started almost right where we left off last week with Meera trying to get away from the White Walkers and their zombie minions, the Wights. It is from here that we get our first ever glimpse of the night king in one of Bran's out of control flashbacks. He makes a cameo appearance saying his signature 'burn them all' line. Meera is so tired at this point she can't move Bran anymore only for Bran to wake up and deliver tell the wights had found them. Fortunately, they are saved by 'Coldhands' who certainly knows how to fight off the wights and delivers the perfect line, "Come with me now, the dead don't rest."
We then catch up with Sam and Gilly who are traveling to horn hill. And we get one of those Sam and Gilly moments where she says he is nervous talker. We finally meet Sam's mother and his sister Talla who certainly like Sam very much and Gilly sure knows how to handle herself around nobles.
We are then taken to the Kings's Landing where the High Sparrow and Tommen seem to have become very good friends. He is finally allowed to see Margeary who seems to have been converted. She speaks of lies in her stories and seems to not fear the walk of atonement.
Back to Horn Hill and Gilly looks more beautiful than ever in that dress. She can finally compete with the other game of thrones women. And the dinner table, we meet Lord Randyll Tarly who reminds me a lot of Tywin Lannister. And he uses his first chance to taunt Sam when he accepts the offer of more food from his mother. He is even angrier that the Night's watch couldn't turn his son into a warrior. Sam doesn't defend himself and so it is up to Gilly to do it and by doing so lets it slip that she might be a wildling. Sam's mother saves the day by taking Gilly away and Lord Randyll tells Sam that Gilly little Samwell can stay but he wants him gone the next morning. We soon discover that poor Sam didn't defend himself because he wanted Little Samwell and Gilly to also be sent away.
He changes his mind completely and decides to run away with Gilly in the middle of the night. But he doesn't leave empty handed, he takes with him his family heirloom the sword, Heartsbane, which is made of Valyrian steel and is surely going to come in handy in the battles to come.
We are then taken to Braavos where the Girl is watching yet another play on the events in Kings's Landing and this time, it is King Joffrey's wedding death. We really find out how good an actress the older one is. The Girl poisons the actress' drink but after a short interaction with her changes her mind and saves the actress from drinking the poisoned drink and tells her to be careful of the younger actress. The Girl might still be Arya Stark after all and we get further proof of this when pulls the sword, Needle from where it is hidden the rocks.
And then to the House of Black and White where Jaqen is extracting another a face for the wall and he apparently gives permission the waif to kill Arya with the waif saying, "You promised me." Why does she hate Arya so much?
Back then to King's Landing where Lord Tully and Jaime Lannister have gathered an army to face the High Sparrow. But the High Sparrow has other plans and unveils King Tommen as the newest convert into his faith who in turn makes a good but short speech about the Crown and faith. King Tommen later strips Jaime Lannister of his Lord Commander title and sends him on a mission out of the city.
The Crossing also returns along with Lord Walder Frey who is telling his sons what he thinks of them. He blames them for letting the Blackfish (Brynden Tully) get away during the Red Wedding and for him taking over Riverrun. The brotherhood without banners is also mentioned and the one 'who got married in the red wedding'. We therefore confirm that Edmure Tully is alive.
To King's Landing again and Jaime is plotting to give Bronn (where is he?) the biggest pile of gold anyone has ever seen to pay for mercenaries the kill the High Sparrow but Cersei talks him out of it.
Beyond the wall and those of Bran are finally safe and we find out that ColdHands is indeed Benjen Stark who says Bran is the three eyed raven now says when the White Walkers find there way into men's land, Bran will be waiting for him.
Vaes Dothrak finally and Daenerys and her Dothraki army are riding towards Meereen. She asks Daario how many ships she needs for her army and he says a thousand or maybe more. He says nobody has this number of ships. "Nobody yet," she replies. She then rides ahead telling them to wait.
And suddenly a DRAGON appears in all its might with Daenerys riding it. The episode concludes with another awesome inspirational Dothraki speech from Daenerys asking the Khalasar to ride with her  on the wooden horses across the sea and to destroy her enemies.
This was another great week for Game Of Thrones and certainly can't wait for the next episode.
